A painting estimate should tell you exactly what you are buying. Ours does. Every proposal from Precision Paint Experts lists the surfaces included and excluded, the prep steps we are performing, the primer and topcoat product lines by name, the number of coats, and a working schedule with a start and finish date. That single page is what prevents the two most common frustrations with a paint job: surprise change orders and a finish date that keeps moving.
Pricing is driven by measured square footage, the amount of repair and prep the surfaces actually need, product selection, access and working height, and the number of colors. We would rather show you those line items than win the job with a low number and renegotiate halfway through. If the budget needs to move, we adjust scope with you — full exterior now and the deck next spring, or a better product line on the elevations that take the worst afternoon sun.
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. We serve Newberry, Fort White, Alachua, Ocala, Gainesville, High Springs, Lake City, and the surrounding North Central Florida communities across Alachua, Marion, Levy, Columbia, and Gilchrist counties. Interior, exterior, residential, commercial, cabinetry, deck and fence staining, drywall repair, popcorn ceiling removal, and pressure washing are all in scope.
Because we are a locally owned contractor rather than a franchise call center, the person who prices your job is a crew lead who will be on site while it is being done. There is no salesperson between you and the people holding the sprayer, and nothing gets added to the invoice without your written approval.
From first call to final walkthrough
Step one is the walkthrough. We look at the substrate, not just the square footage: chalking on siding, peeling along the bottom edge of fascia and door frames, widening stucco hairlines, soft wood around window sills, mildew in shaded areas, and interior walls that no longer wipe clean. We take moisture readings on anything questionable and photograph the conditions so the scope reflects the building you actually own.
Step two is the written estimate, usually in your inbox within one business day. Step three is prep, scheduled as its own day or days on the calendar so it never gets compressed to hit a finish deadline — wash, scrape to a sound edge, sand glossy areas to a tooth, treat mildew at the root, reset nail pops, replace rotted trim, and re-lay every moving joint with a flexible paintable sealant.
Step four is application: premium 100% acrylic systems on siding and trim, elastomeric coatings on stucco with hairline movement, waterborne urethane enamels on cabinetry, doors, and railings, and penetrating stains on exposed wood. Two full coats are baseline, with a third on dramatic color changes. Step five is the punch walk you sign, plus labelled touch-up paint and a written workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's product warranty.
